21st Century Skills
In addition to the Cambridge Assessment programmes used throughout INTA, we are developing our use of Microsoft’s 21st Century skills programme. This educational development starts with the view that society and technology are changing so rapidly that it is difficult to know what students will need to know in the future. Many of the jobs they will do, have not yet come into existence. So it is important to make sure that students develop the skills that will enable them to adapt to a changing world and work with others effectively. Activities that help students develop these skills are integrated into teaching methodologies throughout the department. The six skills are
Communication skills
Information technology skills
Collaboration skills
Problem solving and innovation skills
Self regulation skills
Knowledge construction skills
